After my parents started bringing home things from Brazil, Fiji, Israel, Turkey, Egypt, etc. I started thinking we should help bring these products to America — somehow. However, having never been outside of the United States, I felt helpless in knowing how to go about doing this.
Now using Kiva we can invest in the world economy through microlending.
Kiva’s concept seems much easier than mine and I think I’ll have to get involved.
Thanks to Seth for this one.

Kiva is a great organization to support, and they have just come out with their own credit card issued by Advanta. Advanta will match up to $200 a month all contributions made to Kiva using the Kiva card. It’s a great way to double the impact we can have on those in need.
