UPDATE: Seth Godin After Party in Salt Lake City, Utah
So I forgot to post the Seth Godin badge to my website a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been working with several Utah bloggers to raise the money necessary to attract Seth Godin to speak to Utah bloggers and business-people.
Pledge now to hear Seth speak in Utah.
I even offered to have Seth shave my head and then Phil Burns agreed to as well. He also came up with the idea of sponsors for our heads upon shaving them. Then Thom Allen stepped up (he’s already bald) to join the team in finding sponsors to help us raise the money more quickly.
Besides my son is very excited about having my head shaved.
Although much has been done in the way of pledges we’re still short by a few hundred. However, we’ve surpassed Phoenix (which has over twice the number of residents) and we’ve been able to get 3 corporate sponsors so far. Hundreds of blogs have been written (excellent) about Seth’s new book and Utah bloggers are working on media coverage for the event.
If Seth decides to come to Utah it will likely get nationwide coverage on the nightly news because of our head-shaving. In my day job, we’ve done these kinds of promotions before and received nationwide news coverage for less. This is nothing compared to the YouTube and blog coverage for all involved.

Get a commercial about it on kjzz. I’m sure tons of people would shave their heads for your cause.
