Silverlake ATV Trail in American Fork Canyon, UT

This morning we (John Jonas and myself) woke up early and headed for the mountains. It’s a short 20 drive from the house, but we started out at 8:00 am at about 55 degrees F. Within 10 minutes on the ATV’s we started to realize how cold it really was. Probably not much above freezing in the higher elevations and we had long sleeves/pants but no additional jackets for warmth.
It was a beautiful morning with a few of the trees already changing colors and the sun coming up over the many mountain peaks. I was surprised to see that the trees were already changing since this is only September 2, but at least I know to be back in a couple of weeks before too much more has changed.
I’m still working very hard to find new trails to bring to you, but sometimes it’s easier to go back to somewhere familiar. If you have any trails you’d like me to try and/or blog about, just contact me through my about page and I’ll get right on it.

Nice site!
I live in Colorado. A friend is working near American Fork for the next year or two. We both like to ride ATVs. Maybe I’ll haul his CanAm over and we’ll explore some of the places you talk about. Are there any rentals available nearby?
Thanks!
